WE ASK IF YOU ARE FEELING ILL, THAT YOU WAIT AT LEAST 2 WEEKS (14 DAYS) BEFORE VISITING US!

 

 

AS OF MARCH 23RD, 2020, SUPER SAUSAGE 2003 LTD HAS IMPLEMENTED PROCEDURES TO PROTECT THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS. AS MORE INFORMATION BECAME AVAILABLE, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES WERE ALTERED TO FOLLOW RECOMMENDED FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL GUIDELINES.

 

THE FOLLOWING CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE:

STORE

  • LIMIT NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE
  • INSTALLED BARRIERS ALONG DELI COUNTERS AND CASH REGISTERS
  • MARKERS TO INDICATE A 2M (6 FOOT) DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CUSTOMERS
  • LIMIT EMPLOYEES FROM BEING ON THE STORE FLOOR
  • SANITIZE ALL DOOR HANDLES, CARTS, BASKETS, COMPUTERS, COUNTERS, INTERAC MACHINES THROUGHOUT THE DAY
  • REDUCED HOURS TO ALLOW FOR THOROUGH CLEANING OF THE STORE AND RESTOCKING SHELVES
  • PROVIDE EMPLOYEES WITH PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) - GLOVES, MASKS AND SANITIZER
  • PACKAGE ALL BULK ITEMS TO AVOID CONTAMINATION, THIS INCLUDES: BUNS, DESSSERTS, SAUERKRAUT, ETC.
  • PROHIBIT DELIVERY DRIVERS FROM ENTERING THE FACILITY WITHOUT MASKS AND GLOVES
  • NO VISITORS
    • IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY/BREAKDOWN, THE TECHNICIAN MUST COME IN BEFORE OR AFTER STORE CLOSURE  IN PPE, SANITIZATION WILL BE COMPLETED AGAIN
  • AFTER CLEANING AND SANITIZING THE STORE, ALL EQUIPMENT, DOORS, HANDLES AND ANY OTHER FREQUENTLY TOUCHED SURFACES ARE SANITIZED AGAIN TO ENSURE NO AREA IS MISSED
  • DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE
    • WHEN FINISHED, EMPLOYEE MUST SANITZE DOOR, HANDLES AND HANDS BEFORE FURTHER ENTERING THE FACILITY

EMPLOYEES

  • BEFORE ENTERING THE STORE, EMPLOYEES ARE ASKED BY EMPLOYER OR MANAGER IF THEY OR ANY OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE EXPERIENCED A FEVER OR FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS
  • HAND WASHING FREQUENCY HAS INCREASED
  • SANITIZER HAS BEEN PLACED IN VARIOUS AREAS OF THE STORE
  • ENCOURAGED TO KEEP A DISTANCE FROM EACH OTHER WHERE POSSIBLE
  • ENCOURAGED SNEEZE AND COUGH ETIQUETTE
  • PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) SUCH AS MASKS AND GLOVES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED
    • TRAINING ON PROPER USE AND CARE
      • 1: MAKE SURE GLOVES AND MASK FIT PROPERLY – IF ANY TEARS OR ISSUES, GRAB ANOTHER SET
      • 2: REMOVAL -  1) GLOVES 2) WASH/SANITIZE HANDS 3) MASK 4) WASH/SANITIZE
  • MUST IMMEDIATELY INFORM EMPLOYER OR MANAGER IF ANY SYMPTOMS OCCUR
  • COVID-19 POSTERS HAVE BEEN POSTED IN AREAS FOR MORE INFORMATION:
    • HOW TO SELF MONITOR
    • HOW TO SELF ISOLATE
    • PROPER MASK USE
    • PROPER HAND WASHING AND SANITIZING METHODS
    • SOCIAL DISTANCING
    • PROPER CLEANING AND DISINFECTING OF PUBLIC SETTINGS
    • FIRST STOP – HANDWASHING STATION

 

IN THE EVENT OF A POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULT:

  • THE EMPLOYEE MUST CALL TO NOTIFY THE EMPLOYER OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES (WHETHER THE EMPLOYEE IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OR HAS COME IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS COVID-19)
  • IF EMPLOYEE KNOWS SOMEONE WHO WAS EXPOSED, THEY WILL BE ASKED TO SELF ISOLATE
  • IF THE EMPLOYEE FEELS ILL, THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED BY THE EMPLOYER:
    • WHEN DID THE SYMPTOMS BEGIN?
    • DID THE SYMPTOMS OCCUR DURING YOUR TIME IN THE FACILITY?  
    • HAVE YOU COMPLETED THE ONLINE SELF ASSESSMENT?
    • HAVE YOU BEEN TESTED FOR COVID-19?
    • HAVE YOU CONTACTED YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER OR PUBLIC HEALTH?
    • IN WHAT AREA OF THE FACILITY WERE YOU WORKING IN WHEN YOU BEGAN FEELING THESE SYMPTOMS?
    • WHAT OTHER AREAS OF THE FACILITY WERE YOU IN? WAS THERE A FELLOW COWORKER NEAR YOU?
    • WERE YOU WEARING THE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT PROVIDED?
    • HOW DO YOU GET TO AND FROM WORK? HAVE YOU BEEN ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE FACILITY?
  • EMPLOYEE WILL BE ASKED TO SELF ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS BEGINNING WHEN SYMPTOMS STARTED
  • EMPLOYER WILL CONTACT ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • RETURN TO WORK:
    • EMPLOYER MUST RECEIVE A NOTE FROM A HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL THAT THE EMPLOYEE IS FIT TO RETURN TO WORK
