TH HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR EMPLOYEES, CUSTOMERS AND GUESTS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. WE ASK THAT IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL TO PLEASE WAIT TWO WEEKS BEFORE VISITING US. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE. EMPLOYEES HAVE BEEN TRAINED ON PROPER PROTOCOL TO FOLLOW. WE ARE DILIGENTLY FOLLOWING THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH, ONTARIO GOVERNMENT, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR UPDATES AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
EMPLOYEES AND GUESTS ARE PASSIVELY SCREENED FOR COVID-19
- TRAINING ON COVID-19 AND HOW TO FOLLOW PROPER PROTOCOL
- PHYSICAL BARRIERS BETWEEN STAFF AND CUSTOMERS AT THE DELI COUNTER
- PHYSICAL BARRIERS BETWEEN CASHIER AND CUSTOMER AT THE REGISTER
- FLOORS MARKERS FOR CUSTOMERS TO STAND 6FT APART FROM EACH OTHER
- ARROWS SHOWING CUSTOMER FLOW OF TRAFFIC
- PHYSICAL DISTANCING IS NOT POSSIBLE BEHIND THE COUNTER, ALL EMPLOYEES WEAR MASKS
- EMPLOYEES ARE SCREENED EACH DAY TO AVOID ANY TRANSMISSION OF COVID19
- PROVIDE HAND SANITIZER, MASKS, GLOVES, FACE SHIELDS (PPE)
- EMPLOYEES ARE PROHIBITED FROM GOING ON THE STORE FLOOR (EXCEPTION GOING TO THE CASH REGISTER)
- LIMITING THE NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE
- INCREASED FREQUENCY OF SANITATION
- SCREENING QUESTIONS BEFORE SHIFT WHICH WILL DETERMINE ENTRANCE
- HANDWASHING FREQUENCY HAS INCREASED
- HAND SANITIZER HAS BEEN PLACED AROUND VARIOUR AREAS OF THE STORE
- SANITIZE ALL DOOR HANDLES, CARTS, BASKETS, COMPUTERS, COUNTERS, INTERAC MACHINES THROUGHOUT THE DAY
- REDUCED HOURS TO ALLOW FOR THOROUGH CLEANING OF THE STORE AND RESTOCKING SHELVES
- PACKAGE ALL BULK ITEMS TO AVOID CONTAMINATION, THIS INCLUDES: BUNS, DESSSERTS, SAUERKRAUT, ETC.
- PROHIBIT DELIVERY DRIVERS FROM ENTERING THE FACILITY WITHOUT MASKS AND GLOVES – DRIVERS MUST LEAVE ALL ITEMS AND THEN EMPLOYEE WILL PICK THEM UP ONCE THE DRIVER LEAVES
- NO VISITORS
- IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY/BREAKDOWN, THE TECHNICIAN MUST COME IN BEFORE OR AFTER STORE CLOSURE IN PPE, SANITIZATION WILL BE COMPLETED AGAIN
- AFTER CLEANING AND SANITIZING THE STORE, ALL EQUIPMENT, DOORS, HANDLES AND ANY OTHER FREQUENTLY TOUCHED SURFACES ARE SANITIZED AGAIN TO ENSURE NO AREA IS MISSED
- DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE
- WHEN FINISHED, EMPLOYEE MUST SANITZE DOOR, HANDLES AND HANDS BEFORE FURTHER ENTERING THE FACILITYIN THE EVENT OF A POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULT:
- THE EMPLOYEE MUST CALL TO NOTIFY THE EMPLOYER OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES (WHETHER THE EMPLOYEE IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OR HAS COME IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS COVID-19)
- IF EMPLOYEE KNOWS SOMEONE WHO WAS EXPOSED, THEY WILL BE ASKED TO SELF ISOLATE
- IF THE EMPLOYEE FEELS ILL, THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED BY THE EMPLOYER:
- WHEN DID THE SYMPTOMS BEGIN?
- DID THE SYMPTOMS OCCUR DURING YOUR TIME IN THE FACILITY?
- HAVE YOU COMPLETED THE ONLINE SELF ASSESSMENT?
- HAVE YOU BEEN TESTED FOR COVID-19?
- HAVE YOU CONTACTED YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER OR PUBLIC HEALTH?
- IN WHAT AREA OF THE FACILITY WERE YOU WORKING IN WHEN YOU BEGAN FEELING THESE SYMPTOMS?
- WHAT OTHER AREAS OF THE FACILITY WERE YOU IN? WAS THERE A FELLOW COWORKER NEAR YOU?
- WERE YOU WEARING THE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT PROVIDED?
- HOW DO YOU GET TO AND FROM WORK? HAVE YOU BEEN ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE FACILITY?
- EMPLOYEE WILL BE ASKED TO SELF ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS BEGINNING WHEN SYMPTOMS STARTED
